What is the maximum weight the swing can hold?

SleepyJays swings have a recommended maximum weight of 28kg This is around the weight of your average 4 year old child. Our twin swings will hold a combined weight of 50kgs

Our range of hugs are designed for infants and due to their material construction are reccommended to hold up to 12Kg.

Where can I hang my swing?

SleepyJays swings are perfect for anywhere inside and out of the house! All you need is a structural beam, such as a door way or pergola, and a screw in eyebolt. Outside the swing can be attached to a chain wrapped around a strong tree branch, an unused swing set or even to your rotary clothes line.

Even better news, SleepyJays swings fold up to almost nothing so are perfect for those weekend camping trips or visits to Nana and Grandad's house!

How do I care for my swing?

SleepyJays swings are sealed using Scotchgard and Sundrella. This means that they are super easy to clean.

For smaller spills and accidents your swing can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

For more serious stains the whole swing, minus cushions, can be placed in a sink or bucket of lukewarm water and lightly scrubbed with a soft detergent. Once clean the swing can be hung to dry. It is important that the swing is fully dried before being put away to ensure the longevity of the double stitching.

The cushions can machine washed and line dried.

How long can I expect my swing to last?

Every SleepyJays swing is designed to last. From the 12 gauge heavy duty canvas to the Tasmanian Oak dowels and Scotchgard protection. With the proper care your SleepyJays swing will last to be passed through generations.

Plain canvas swings will withstand the elements left outside however for the patterned swings it is recommended that they be stored inside when not in use.

What is included with my swing?

All SleepyJays swings come fully assembled ready to hang alongside 2 matching cushions and a carabiner clip. A safety belt is also stitched into the swing for added safety.

Our hugs also come ready to hang with a spring and a carabiner clip.

For our plain canvas swings you may choose the 2 cushions for your swing. Patterns depend on the availability of fabric. Please contact us upon purchase for advice on available patterns if you do not see a suitable fabric on the site.

Isn't my child too young/small for the swing?

Your little one will be safe and sound in a SleepyJays swing. Once they begin to support the weight of their own head they can make use of their swing. The cushions can be arranged so that the baby's head is supported and as they grow the cushions can be moved up to support baby's back.

What are the swings made of?

Each swing is lovingly handcrafted from the highest quality materials. The seats are made up of a heavy duty 12 gauge canvas with double stitching for extra durability. This is supported by strong 25mm diameter Tasmanian Oak dowels and 8mm covered nylon rope.

Our cushions are filled with hypogenic stuffing.

Once constructed all swings are then sealed against the elements using Scotchgard and Sundrella.

All SleepyJays swings include a seatbelt which is stitched into the swing's base.

How long can I expect to wait for my swing?
